bersa thunder 9mm
by: bullseye
my friend and i have been going to the shooting range for about a year now. a little over a year ago he got a glock 9mm and shortly after i was pistol shopping. money was somewhat tight at the time so the salesman at our local sporting store showed me a bersa thunder 9mm. it was more affordable than most others and i must say i was a little worried about the quality. since then my friend and i have been to the range every week and my thunder 9 does every bit as well as his glock. the acuracy is right on and it has never jammed or malfunctioned. i am now thinking about getting a 45 and i already know what it will be, a thunder 45. thanks bersa!

Bersa Thunder 9
by: Alerion
The Bersa Thunder 9 is one of the best values available in a handgun. Reliability is excellent. Ignore the brand names and the Bersa can compare favorably to almost any other gun make out there. It is a great combination of features, capacity and ergonomics. The biggest downside is the cost of spare magazines. Hopefully a company like Mec-Gar will see the wisdom of producing an affordable magazine for the Bersa. However, by that time, the gun may be so popular that it's no longer available at its current bargain price.

Thunder 9mm is a real value
by: hillshire
I purchased a Bersa Thunder 9 back in the late summer of '07 and have put approx. 500 rounds of Winchester ammo thru it without a single problem, no jams, failure to feed, or eject. No problems at all. At the range, a 15 yard group is about 4-5 inches, all 17 shots! This is one awesome pistol for the money. I would put it up against the big names any day, even Sig and S&W. This one is a keeper for me.
I wish that it came with a hard plastic case and another magazine, though, but for the price, I am very impressed.
