Bersa Thunder 380 Nickel
by: Garyryder
This Bersa 380 has it over most of the 380's that I have had an experience of handling. The accuracy, within the hot zone, 21 to 40 feet is unbelievable for a 3 1/2 barrel. Over two hundred rounds, to date, with no problems. The action slide is the smoothest yet. The rocoil of the slide causes a push back thrust to the hand, which accounts for no muzzle jump. All of the safety feature, included on a factory direct design, are as on other weapons priced hundreds of dalloars more. Now, I can understand why, that the Bersa 380 is one of the hottest conceal carry weapons on the market today and why dealers are unable to get the supply on hand to meet the consumer's demand. I had to wait 11 weeks for my order to come in. In my opinion, male or female, can not go wrong with a Bersa 380 using the right ammunition, Golden Saber 102 gr JHP. My Bersa loves the feel, bite and taste the Golden Saber 102, JHP.

Papa always said "a .22 in your pocket is worth more than the 44 magnum on your nightstand when you're standing at the ATM facing a knife"
As a gun SAFETY nut, I'm very picky about what I carry. Single action hammerless pistols aren't safe with "one in the chamber" (no not even the Glocks and their copy cats) and if you need it, you don't want to have to jack the slide to be ready. The double action hammer style with thumb safety/hammer drop ambidextrous safety is superior to any single action I'm aware of for safety. When you consider that this weapon will be carried quite close to your body for many years and just one "accidental" discharge can ruin your life, the Bersa wins hands down.
While the .380 cartridge isn't a "heavy hitter" like the 45 or high speed like the 9mm it hits heavy enough and goes plenty fast. It also won't "over penetrate" like the 9mm which means less chance of an innocent being hit if you ever do need your weapon. When you couple the cartridge with the Thunder .380 you have a light weight, compact, lethal weapon that you can conceal so easily that it never needs to be left behind.
I carry mine almost daily (it's the Bersa or a Kahr PM9) and the Bersa is my much prefered weapon.
I'm a retired Marine, pistol marksmanship expert, and as I said before safety nut. The Bersa is superior to weapons costing hundreds more.

As a women who is 5'4 and 130 lbs. I love this gun. This is my first gun I have owned. This gun is an easy to handle gun. My husbands 9mm is hard to cock but this gun works easily for me. I am able to conceal this gun with no problems because of its smaller size and wieght. I would recommend this gun if your a first time women gun user.
